TP ICAP L’Etape London 2018 – Participant FAQs

POSTPONEMENT UNTIL 21st OCTOBER

We understand you might have some questions following the postponement. Take a look at the FAQs below or alternatively, get in touch with our events team here!

Please note that the transfer and refund request deadline has now passed.
Due to the complexity of postponing the event, we must adhere to this deadline in order to process all requests, whilst continuing to organise all aspects of the event.

1. Why has the event been postponed?

After reviewing multiple weather sources and looking at alternative options, we concluded that it would be unsafe to run the event in the forecast conditions on Sunday 23rd September. The health and safety of our participants, spectators, volunteers, crew and partners is our number one priority.

2. When is the postponed event taking place?

We have postponed TP ICAP L’Etape London until Sunday 21st October 2018.

3. Is the postponed event at the same venue?

No, the start/finish venue will be slightly changed with all riders departing from the Lee Valley Hockey & Tennis Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. However, this is only a 5 minute walk from the original site at the VeloPark and all car parking and arrival routes will remain the same. The course routes will also use all the same roads (with just a small tweak for the change start & finish location)

4. Can I use the same entry pack for the postponed event?

You will still be able to use the same rider pack that you have already received – please remember to bring your pack with you on the day! Those who signed up between Monday 17th September and Thursday 20th September will now have their pack posted to them if they wish to ride on the postponed date.

5. How do I postpone my entry to the new date?

If you would like to ride on the 21st October you don’t need to do anything – your entry will automatically be transferred across, along with any additional merchandise purchases.

6. What if I can’t ride on 21st October?

If you cannot make the rescheduled date for TP ICAP L’Etape London, we are offering riders two options:
1. Transfer to another Human Race event in 2019 (see number 7 below)
2. Receive a full refund for your entry minus your booking fee (see number 8 below)

Transfer and refund requests must be completed by 11:59pm on Monday 1st October.

7. How do I transfer my entry to another event?

All transfers, requested or actioned on or before Monday 1st October, are now being processed. You will have received a new confirmation email for the new event that you have transferred over to. After this date, all remaining riders will be transferred to the start list for the rescheduled TP ICAP L’Etape London event on 21st October.

8. How do I request a refund?

All refund requests, submitted on or before Monday 1st October, are now being processed. This will be returned to the card that you originally used to purchase your entry and can take up to three weeks. After this date, all remaining riders will be transferred to the start list for the rescheduled TP ICAP L’Etape London event on 21st October.

9. When do I need to decide whether to choose to postpone, transfer or refund my entry?

All transfers or refund request must be completed by Monday 1st October. After this date, all remaining riders will be transferred to the start list for the rescheduled TP ICAP L’Etape London event on 21st October.

10. I have requested a refund and I also purchased a personalised medal insert from iTab when I signed up for the event?

You will be fully refunded for this purchase. This will be processed within 4 weeks from 1st October.

11. I have requested a refund, but purchased a personalised medal insert separately, via the iTab website?

Please contact iTab directly on info@mysportingtimes.com. Your purchase will be fully refunded.

12. I have requested a refund and I also purchased a pre-order photo bundle from AWOL when I signed up for the event?

You will be fully refunded for this purchase. This will be processed within 4 weeks from 1st October.

13. I have requested a refund, but purchased a pre-order photo bundle separately, via the AWOL website?

Please contact AWOL directly on photos@awoladventure.com. Your purchase will be fully refunded.

14. What if I have purchased an official TP ICAP L’Etape London cycling jersey or other merchandise?

If you have transferred your entry or requested a refund, your jersey will be posted to you free of charge. If you have purchased premium entry and would like a full refund, you would no longer be entitled to receive your jersey.
If you are riding on 21st October, your jersey will be ready for you to collect on event day.

If you have purchased any other form of merchandise such as a top, gilet or hoodie, please contact our supplier Scimitar Sport on humanrace@scimitarsports.com.

15. Will entries be reopening for the postponed event?

Yes, we will be reopening entries for any additional cyclists who also like to ride on 21st October, so if you have friends or family who fancy joining us, please do share the news with them! Entries will close at 9am on 11th October.

16. I have a question that hasn’t been answered here, what do I do?
